1. Change of learning pace

According to a recent report, classes are not proceeding at their usual pace, and this can be due to the adjustment from face-to-face learning to online. Absenteeism and assignment completion are found to be the top struggles. Students are used to a structured timeline and it can be difficult to follow at home, along with the normal everyday distractions.

This comes with the territory of virtual or at home learning. Your home has many more distractions that a normal classroom setting does not have. TV's, other siblings, pets can all lead to learning struggles.

3. Difficulty to Stay Motivated

An in-person classroom setting will have students’ peers and teachers looking over their shoulder as accountability and motivation. With virtual learning, a lot has to do with self-discipline or parent involvement to make sure students stay motivated.

Helpful tip: Take breaks throughout the day to refresh your mind. This can help with overall attentiveness and help your child not get worn out throughout the day!

4. Parents Becoming Teachers

Most parents have found themselves putting in more time to help their kids in virtual learning, from setting up their computers or laptops to ensuring assignments are submitted on time, becoming tutors and so much more! In addition to helping their kids at home, many parents have their own normal 9 to 5 jobs.
